Alexandra B.
Front Office Manager
Alexandra is the front office manager for Smiles by Dr. Sofia and is the first person you see when you walk into our dental office. She joined our office in September of 2022 and is excited to be a part of this growing practice. She takes care of patient appointments and all insurance related matters. Before arriving at Smiles by Dr. Sofia, Alexandra spent 20 years at Montefiore Medical Center. Amongst her roles there, Alexandra worked on a federally funded grant/research study assisting HIV positive patients with obtaining dental care and screening for oral cancer. She worked closely with their dentistry department. Alexandra was born in New York, and although she is not a Yonkers native, she has lived there most of her life and loves working with her community.
Kattia
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kattia is our Registered Dental Hygienist. Born in Colombia, Kattia found her calling in Dental Hygiene at Hostos Community College. She loves educating her patients about how to improve on their oral health while striving to provide the best in office care.
In her free time she enjoys working on her calligraphy projects, drawing, and taking care of her family which includes three cats.
